BLAIR INTERNATIONAL has been voted International Haulier of the Year at the annual Export & Freight Transport & Logistics Awards.

The company was presented with the prestigious award, sponsored by Iveco and NI Trucks, at a glittering ceremony at the Ramada Hotel in Belfast.

For 35 years the company has been at the forefront of Northern Irish operators venturing into Europe and has built a reputation based on good performance, dependability and customer satisfaction.

Although it regards frequent driver contact as one of the most effective ways of keeping track of international consignments, the company has complemented this by fitting its fleet with the very latest GPRS tracking devices, as well as a tracking facility linked to the driver’s cell phone.

Blair International has a client base that stretches throughout Ireland, UK and many EU member states, with customers including global manufacturing organisations, local and multinational food producers, major retail multiples, the civil engineering and construction industry and import/export forwarding organisations.

The annual Awards is organised by the Hillsborough based publishers of Export & Freight magazine, 4Square Media, and is now widely regarded as the premier event in the Irish Transport & Logistics calendar, attracting entries, support and sponsorship from all the leading players in the industry.

There were 16 categories in all, ranging from Haulier of the Year and Irish Sea Shipping Line to Transport Manager of the Year and Driver of the Year.
